CHATEAU VALMY

This monument was built at the end of the 19th century in the heart of the Valmy wine-producing estate. It was designed by the Danish architect Viggo Dorp-Petersen whose work was greatly appreciated by the rich families in the Roussillon region. Under a red-tiled roof decorated with ceramics, the château, built for the minister Jules Pams, was visited by Marshall Joffre and many other famous names at the beginning of the 20th century.
